The public buses are the major means of daily transportation. There are more than 1000 buses and trolley buses in the urban district of Xian city and over 80 bus lines have been opened up. There is one bus at an average of about 10 minutes in each bus line. Buses should be entered at the front and then exited through the back. Because most the buses are self-serving,so please remember to prepare。

The bus lines NO.306 and 307 will take you directly from railway station to the Museum of the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses which cost you 5 yuan for one way and 8 yuan for roun-trip ticket. No.610 bus is your prior choice if you want to travel within the city because it passes many major attractions, which is also one yuan for one ticket.
Taxis are the other mean of transportation in the city, and are always available throughout the city any time day or night. When you see a taxi a simple wave or a smile will quickly have the driver at your service ready to take you wherever you want to go.Prices vary depending on the distance traveled . It is better to agree on a price before going.All the taxis are equipped with taximeters.

Xian International Airport was completed and put into operation in 1991.It is the largest modern civil airport in the norhwest region of China and one of the important hubs of air communication in China.It has estabulished nearly 60 domestic scheduled flight lines to major toursit spots such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Urumuqi,and so on.It also opened up airlines to Japan,Singapore and Hong Kong.The airport is about 50 kilometers apart from the urban dsitrict of Xian.

You can reach Xian by train if you are in other cities. Xian Railway Station is not only a passenger transportation state of top grade,but also an important spot of the Eurasia Continental Bridge in China.Xian Railway Station is located in the northern urbub of the city.Many buses can reanch the station , it is convinent for you to get there from anywhere in the downtown. The bus ticket is 1-2yuan for one ticket.It will cost you less than 10 yuan by taxi(from the city center).
